I processed the recording I have of Nook's voice through HALion6 to produce an interesting wavetable. Next, I filtered it through Phase Plant to give it a nice plucking sound. Then I added a bit of iZotope's DDLY, increasing the secondary grain reverb in the middle to give it a brief moment of that nice gnarly sound. Interestingly, all the sounds are produced from one "instrument": It's the magic of that iZotope DDLY filtering system that divides it into the bass, middle and high range plucks, the shaker, and the gnarly sound.
One of several movements to come, all based on Nook's sweet voice.
